Paragliding is an air sport in which a pilot flies an aircraft called hang glider characterized mainly for its lightness as well as for being un-motorized and foot-launchable. Even though modern technology allows pilots to soar for hours and reach great altitudes, not long ago, pilots were restricted to gliding small hills on low-performance hang gliders.

An experience of paragliding in Rio de Janeiro will be memorable and unique. Your adventure will begin with a brief instructive talk where you will be taught about the key points of paragliding -such as the take off- and some other recommendations. Furthermore, a special camera will be attached to the glider enabling you to get a material record of this never-to-be-forgotten experience.

The Pedra Bonita take off ramp, which is located inside the Tijuca National Park, is considered one of the most ideal spots for tandem flights in Rio. The price for this adventure is around US$ 220 per person, and there is daily availability.
