The Flamengo Embankment, extending from the Santos Dumont Airport to the Botagogo Cove, is an artificial landscape designed by the brazilian artist, Roberto Burle Marx.
This masterpiece, with a green area of 1,200,000 m², offers a wide range of attractions such as sports and aero-modeling courts, bicycle tracks and cooper trails, among many others.
If visiting the Flamengo Embankment, note that in order to enlarge the spaces available for visitors, the stretch of Avenida Infante D. Henrique that extends from the South Zone to Downtown is closed to traffic on Sundays and holidays, from 7 am to 6 pm.
